OPEN BOARD MEMBER OPPORTUNITIES IN 2026
Our Youth Baseball & Softball program is built on the passion of volunteers. Right now, the team behind the scenes is too small to keep things running smoothly — and without more help, our program isn’t sustainable. These roles are essential to ensuring our players have the fields, uniforms, schedules, and opportunities they deserve. Executive Position: Club President
- Preside over all Club meetings (generally held monthly during the school year)
- Serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the League
Represent the League at any meetings of other organizations, including the city of Weyauwega and/or Fremont.
- Attend the City of Weyauwega's Recreational Committee meetings (or designates another board member to do so)
- Delegate tasks to others and makes sure everyone is following through.
Term length:
- Two-year term beginning in January, with option be re-elected.
Executive Position: Club Treasurer
- Receive and disburse all funds with the approval of the board.
- Keep an accurate account of all funds received and disbursed for the League. (using the Quickbooks platform)
- Submit a financial report at all regular meetings and at other times as requested by the President.
- Compiles and annual report of the league finances.
Sponsorship Coordinator
This position does most of their work in April & May and is generally done when the season begins.
- Email and mail letters of request to sponsor to all businesses on file.
- Track sponsorship dollars that are received.
- Assign sponsors to league t-shirt.
- Ensure banners are ordered or available for display at City Park.
- Send thank you notes to all sponsors.
- Equipment Management & Organization
- Take inventory of equipment and organize by team pre- and post-season
- Ensure equipment is at the field and ready to be distributed.
- Ordering & Distribution
- Order new equipment as needed.
- Hand out uniforms, practice/game balls, and team bags to coaches.
- Maintenance & Safety
- Inspect helmets, bats, and catcher's gear for safety concerns and replace if needed.
- Make sure first-aid kits are stocked and placed in team bags.
Concessions Coordinators (shared between 2-3 people)
Great role for those who are organized, social, and enjoy working with people. This makes a direct impact on both program funding and the game-day experience. Grab a friend and get involved!
- Stand & Menu Operations
- Ensure both concession stands (Weya Park & High School Softball field) is stocked before each game.
- Purchase concessions food and drink using Club credit card.
- Work with Treasurer to ensure all receipts are reconciled.
- Inventory & Ordering
- Track inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Keep an organized system for food storage.
- Volunteer Scheduling and Policies
- Using SignUp Genius, create a schedule for parent volunteers to cover concession shifts.
- Monitor SignUp Genius to determine where open shifts need to be filled and communicate to coaches.
- Provide basic policy rules in the stand to help parents run the concession stand.
